Usually we hear, “HOW do you prepare,” or “HOW will you prepare?” Most of the time, we KNOW the steps it takes to prepare….buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, we aren’t gifting ourself the TIME to prepare. . . Here is what I mean by “WHERE do you prepare,” and how it may help you  . . Let me start with an example: . . Happy 8th Birthday GEvolution!

YES! March 25th, 2021 was our 8th birthday! In the morning, our team engagement leader asked me if I would be posting about this milestone on our Facebook pages. I replied, “I will post, yes <3.” But I didn’t. Recently, I seem to have bazillions of thoughts swirling in the crinkly wrinkles of my brain, yet when I choose to write them out, I get so DEEP into the crinkles that I do not know where to start. That’s what kept happening yesterday as I sat down to write about the depth of gratitude…and I mean the DEPTH of gratitude, …

Walking is Underrated

Walking is underrated. Not step counting. Not power walking. Just walking. Itโ€™s can brings us everywhere. We use it as a means. But, Ahhhhhhhh, the feel of a walk that has no agenda behind it.  Taking Easy, with no agenda. Finding the Joy in each step and each breath. Absorbing the scenery. Acknowledging our bodies. Just being free. Barefoot, sandals, sneakers, hiking boots. Your choice. Grass, dirt, boulders, asphalt, concrete, synthetic rubber. Itโ€™s your choice. (Although my fave is boulders!๐Ÿค—) Choosing to engage not for the โ€œstep count,โ€ but for the pure movement goodness it brings to our bodies.  Choosing …

Train for the LOVE of your Life.

Sometimes when we first set out on this journey of training for life, we can barely skip a rope, push-ups are our nemesis & daily aches and pains have us believing we are to be prisoners of it.  Then we consciously choose to make the effort to stay with it. We choose to make our training a ritual habit.  We begin to understand that training is no longer a societal “have to,” it’s an internal & authentic WANT TO. We learn that honoring our bodies exercise and challenged movements  makes us stronger at every layer. It’s beautiful. It’s an evolution …

Mom Life and Disease

My mom would walk through door around 6-7pm after 12-16 hours of running the fuel company in Brooklyn during the winter… Her โ€œMarie Lucky 17โ€ mirrored keychain and black flats would get left at the door. A drop of the keys. A stomping of her shoes. Her black pea coat though, that would stay on. Some quick hellos. Hi Ma! Hi Ma! Sheโ€™d walk to the kitchen, put her purse up on the counter + would proceed to just DO. MORE. STUFF. No pause. Stack papers, sweep, a few folds of laundry, grab some dinner ingredients from the fridge, probably …
