Love Letters to Yourself

Are you holding your breathe? Feeling Anxiety? Sometimes when I am in the middle of a workload, I find myself holding my breathe and at that time, I can feel anxiousness creeping in. My hands get a little “grippy-er,” my jaw a little tighter, my brows a bit more furrowed, my body a bit more tense. I am hurrying against the imaginary clock. I am running from the task police who are ready to drag me away for not moving fast enough through….. It’s a yucky space to be, so when I feel this happening and step into the awareness …

Desired Outcomes

Desired outcomes. Knowing specifically what I want and why I want it allows me to do or…. not do, the actions needed to attain those outcomes. Without specific desired outcomes stated (given vocalization or written attention to) and visualized, I feel as if they would be unattainable. This is the part where I breathe life into my thoughts. I see myself on the other side, within the outcome, believing in that future. So what are my desired outcomes? What, right now do I  want to create, manifest, architect? My choices and my actions align to support these desired outcomes along …

Train for the LOVE of Your Life

When we first set out on this journey of training for life, we can barely skip a rope, push-ups are our nemesis & daily aches and pains have us believing we are to be prisoners of it. Then we consciously choose to make the effort to stay with it. We choose to make our training a ritual habit. We begin to understand that training is no longer a societal “have to,” it’s an internal & authentic WANT TO. We learn that honoring our bodies exercise and challenged movements  makes us stronger at every layer. It’s beautiful. It’s an evolution   …

Empower. Embrace. Evolve. Emerge. The Cornerstones of GEvolution.

I was at my husband’s grandparents’ camp. It was the summer of 2014. The sky was a radiant blue and I was sitting in a lounge chair with my phone in hand and the warm sun on my skin. My wheels were spinning and my mind was open. My bare feet grounded on the green and a warm breeze around me. I could feel my creativity percolating. I wanted to capture the essence of GEvolution Fitness. I wanted to convey that what I was building meant more than a place to work out at. I wanted to give meaning to …

Rebuild from Injury, Tragedy, Trauma

I deeply believe in process. I deeply believe in trusting it. Knowing that each step we take can be towards a build or a rebuild. from injury.from tragedy.from trauma. I believe that if we want to truly experience healing for ourselves, we can. We just have to abide by and trust the process, sometimes with patience we never even knew was possible. It may take an additional investment of time, money, discipline, and guidance, but it can and will happen. In this era of one-click satisfaction and Google seconds, we are becoming heavily conditioned for shortcuts, quickness, and easy frustration, …

Don’t Take Compliments

I am not allowing myself to take compliments anymore. Most of the time, when I “take” compliments, I only KINDA take the one that are referring to a completion of some task, and then most of the time they still zip right over my head because for some deep, illogical reason, I don’t feel as if I am worthy of the compliment. It is a fleeting moment. There is no depth. When I am given compliments on who I am at the core, or the gifts I have been given as a human being, well then THOSE compliments go in …

Here’s Your Permission to take a BREAK!

I’ve learned it’s okay, soooo fukn okay to take breaks. I’m tired this afternoon. There, I said it. It’s almost 2 pm and I’m tired. I’ve HAPPILY & PRODUCTIVELY worked 14 hour days back to back. Have work multiple “hats” during that time, and now I’m tired. So, I’m taking a break this afternoon. And it’s okay. I have no inner voice telling me, “I’d better do this or I will fall behind,” or “I’d better do that,” or “stop being lazy,” or any of that bullshit. I have set free judgment. I have set free this asinine idea that …

Living in Abundance! GAINS BABY!!

Recognizing gains instead of losses. It’s this thing I’ve been doing that helps me to remain in an attitude of gratitude as opposed to FREEEEEEAKIN’ Out because I think that time is running out, our money is gonna run out, our whatever is gonna deplete. It’s that scarcity mindset. That fear that, if I do this, or say yes to this, then I won’t have enough of “something” when the NEXT cool thing or even day comes along. It’s been helping me make decisions not from that standpoint. I focus on what the gain is from my action, or non …
