Love Letters to Yourself

Are you holding your breathe? Feeling Anxiety?

Sometimes when I am in the middle of a workload, I find myself holding my breathe and at that time, I can feel anxiousness creeping in. My hands get a little “grippy-er,” my jaw a little tighter, my brows a bit more furrowed, my body a bit more tense.

I am hurrying against the imaginary clock. I am running from the task police who are ready to drag me away for not moving fast enough through…..

It’s a yucky space to be, so when I feel this happening and step into the awareness of it. I stop, find a blank page and begin to write a little love letter to myself:

🐞My love letter from 5 minutes ago, looks like this:🐞

Breathe and let go.

Smile.

Feel your smile.

Feel your cheeks rising.

Feel those bubbles right under your eyes.

Relax your shoulders kid.

All is well.

You are abundantly supported.

Rest in my arms.

Shine your Joy.

Bring that shine to your work, your interactions.

This is your gift. Bring your gift more often. Allow for it.

Speed & worry muddle you but you are meant to gleam.

Move gently.

I love you.

After I take a couple of minutes to be super sweet and kind to myself instead of ridiculing or bullying myself, my breathing returns and my body loosens 💖💖

I invite you to write a little love letter to yourself when you feel that “yucky space” settling in.

As a matter of fact, I invite you to allow you to send love to your heart as much as you can.
