My Passion for Coaching
My journey began many years ago when I set a goal to become a Personal Trainer someday. Health, fitness, and an active lifestyle have always been a part of my life: gym, biking, skiing, hiking, gardening. I was a Certified Aerobics Instructor and YMCA Certified Personal Trainer for a time before my full-time job got in the way! I thought being a trainer and exercise coach would be a great fit for a second career. Along the way I became a team member at Gevolution Fitness and was hooked on the coaching style, challenging and fun classes, and the caring and enthusiasm of my coaches. When it was time to act on my long-term goal I realized I wanted to be a part of that team! My journey as a coach is just beginning; I am excited to be learning and growing in this field.
What I love about coaching
I love having the knowledge to help and guide a team member to become more active and gain better health and fitness, whether new to the gym or returning after time away from regular exercise. I love developing a relationship and connection with team members, coaching and cheering them on as they develop skills and master difficult movements. Being present for the moment when a member has that breakthrough with a challenging movement, pushing harder, and picking up the heavier weight is very rewarding.
