No Validation Needed

After being away for over a week with my mentorship crew and presenting to a room of alomost 200 passionate entrepeneurs about the importance of believing in yourself and cultivating your life around that which you love, I immediately felt drawn to better my communication with our GEvolution Community.  I was astounded my how many lives we touched through our presentations, and understood crystal clearly that it was time to use my talents to continue to serve others. ”Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life. It starts with recognizing your talents and finding ways to serve …

Thoughts & Words. Strength or Weakness.

Behavior Kinesiology Behavior Kinesiology is a branch of kinesiology (the study of human movement) that studies how thinking directly impacts our physical body, stress symptoms & the effects on our immune system.  Behavioral kinesiology helps us to determine if we are carrying old limiting beliefs that are continually self-sabotaging. With that being said, words are very powerful. So powerful, that even multiple tests performed in the field of  Behavior Kinesiology, have found consistent links between self-sabotaging thoughts & negative speech and increased or decreased strength and/or our output from our muscles. Dr. John Diamond, the founder of Behavior Kinesiology noted that “muscles get stronger or weaker depending …

New Year. New You. No Thank You.

I’m not gonna do the whole “new year, new you” thing. Not even close. Instead, I offer this reminder… Every moment of every day entitles us to make our own decisions, no matter what four digits follow the month & day. We are our present, not our past & our present decisions craft our future. I welcome us to embrace our ability to craft that future, moment by moment. Choose to immerse ourselves into what makes us happiest. Choose to fill our body with nutritious fuel. Choose to activate our bodies daily so we can experience longevity & optimal well-being. …

“But what should I eat? I don’t know what to eat.”

“But what should I eat? I don’t know what to eat.” As a trainer, one of the first & most common questions posed to me by many team members, friends, family & random in-boxers tend to ask me “what should I eat?” This question is usually fueled by aesthetic wants and I get it, totally. But before you ask that question for the aesthetic purpose, I think we all need to step up a bit in our consumer …right to know what is IN the foods we are eating. Not just what’s in McDonalds, because all we know what is …

Move…..totally

A mentor of mine recently used the phrase, “movement is the essence of life.” As always, Thank you Elliott Hulse… As we train, make a conscious effort to use the full range of motion through your movement. Allow your body to recruit each and every muscle fiber possible in order to maximize the potential of your movement. Cutting your movement short will only deprive your muscles and joints of the work they WANT in order to thrive. In short, don’t take any fukn shortcuts. If you body can actively travel through the range of motion requested, DO IT. It will …

Wrench it, Put it outta whack, Get a kink, Fuck it up.

“I did something god-awful to my back and I’m having these recurring back spasms that are DRIVING ME CRAZY.” Have you said it before? Have you heard it?It happens at the silliest moments…..putting on a seatbelt,  carrying our children, “sleeping wrong,” and  sex, YES, I just said SEX. We “wrench our back,” “put it outta whack,” “get a kink,” “fuck it up.” BUT,What are we doing, on a regular basis to prevent these moments? What are we doing on a regular basis to give our physical body the strength & flexibility it needs to move efficiently? Most of our daily, routine …

Bounce a dime off dat ass?

I know, I know. You want to look better. You want to have a tight ass. You want to fit into your fave jeans. You don’t want back fat. You don’t want a muffin top. I get it. BUT that’s not all your training is about. YES, we will bounce a dime off your ass…eventually, but let’s redirect our focus a bit though. Instead of strictly worrying about what we look like, let’s focus on how daily living improves, how confidence is enhanced, how task completion becomes more polished. Training not only breeds aesthetic benefits but also enables us to …

I have been prescribed naps.

I have been prescribed naps. This mom, wife, business owner, personal trainer, athlete, overall energetic & excited human being has been prescribed “naps.” (among other things) Sounds pretty fucking fantastic, doesn’t it? Doctor’s orders: I have to sleep a FULL 8+ hours every night AND “nap” for up to 2 hours during the day. Who wouldn’t want this lifestyle?  Who wouldn’t want to just sleep? Well, let me tell you, not me, not you, not anyone. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, because in this case, all my body wants to literally & physically do IS sleep. After a little over 1 month …

Live From Within –

The moment had arrived. It was 13 challenging and character-building weeks after I officially and suddenly decided to compete in my 1st figure competition. There I stood, pumped up, “glam”ed up and “bling”ed out, in line with some of the most amazing women I had ever had the pleasure of sharing time and space with. The line was shortening as each brilliant woman stepped on stage to show the audience and judges what their personal commitment had created. For some, this was a bucket list check-off, for some this was a way of life. For me, it was the ultimate …
